Mark Woollen & Associates is seeking a talented and experienced Trailer Editor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong creative vision, excellent technical skills, and a deep understanding of narrative structure and pacing. This role requires close collaboration with our creative team to deliver top-quality trailers that resonate with our target audiences. Candidates must be able to work on-site at our office in Santa Monica, CA.
Responsibilities:

Edit high-quality trailers, teasers, and promotional content for various media platforms.

Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other creative team members to develop and refine concepts.

Select and assemble footage, music, sound effects, and graphics to create compelling narratives.

Ensure consistency in style and tone, aligning with the overall vision of the project.

Implement feedback from the creative team and make necessary adjustments to edits.

Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into your work.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Maintain and organize project files, ensuring efficient workflow and accessibility.

Attend meetings and brainstorming sessions in the office to contribute ideas and solutions.
Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience as a Trailer Editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

Proficiency in editing software such as AVID and Premiere.

Strong understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and storytelling techniques.

Excellent sense of timing, rhythm, and visual composition.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Attention to detail and a passion for creating visually stunning content.

Flexibility to work overtime hours when necessary.

Hours: 10a-7p with possible OT

Location: Hybrid; must be within commuting distance of main office in Santa Monica, CA
Compensation:

$100K – $155K/year
